Gratitude is the quality of being thankful, readiness to show appreciation for and to return kindness as defined by Old Mr. Webster. Thanksgiving isn’t here yet I am writing about gratitude!
Here are my thoughts:
Lately I have been feeling so blessed and grateful for all that I have. But I am going to be honest with you. Do I feel this way daily? Ummm- no I don’t. And, I have every right to feel empty and depressed on certain days…but I want to shift my attitude and my focus. I truly believe that we attract what we think and feel. Just in case you weren’t aware, I read The Secret (An amazing book btw) and want to adopt this attitude of gratitude! Because WOW if I really list down my list of what I am grateful for…I have a lot!!!
Starting first and foremost with my family, my success, my job that has great health and dental benefit, my education, the fact that I am able, and healthy. It is hard to feel grateful in our entitled and indulgent age, right? While I still have a long way to go to to live as truly great full being, I am taking small step by doing the following:
1.) Wake up every morning and say a positive affirmation of gratitude (and it can be the same thing because EVERY DAY I AM GRATEFUL for my Bennett: he is only 1 years old but he brings me so much joy (indescribable), for Bounmee: for being the foundation for our family, for our house that shelter us from the sun and rain, for my car that can get me from my house to my work Monday through Friday).
2.) Thank the universe/God for the bringing me positivity, love, prosperity, success, abundance, and opportunities my way!
3.)…repeat step 1 &2…
Lastly I am so very grateful that you took your time to read my blog today. No one gets anywhere alone.
Please share some ideas how you plan to adopt this concept of attitude of gratitude in your life.
